After a lifetime of diverse accomplishments, I ventured into the realms of aerospace engineering, neurology, and medical research. As an aerospace computer engineer, I contributed to the Top-Secret designs (the world’s first microprocessor) of iconic aircraft like the F-14 Tomcat and the B-1 Bomber.
Several years later, I switched from engineering to medicine, and became board-certified in neurology, sleep medicine, undersea hyperbaric, and aerospace medicine, I have walked the corridors of esteemed institutions from Georgetown University to the University of Maryland, leaving the imprint of my expertise behind.
I delved into the complexities of cerebral science, and then my journey took an intriguing turn as my explorations extended past the boundaries of medicine and engineering. I was always fascinated with archaeology, ancient Sumerian history, and the mysteries of consciousness—and these interests propelled me into uncharted territories of thought. I became a scholar of ancient history and a researcher of UFO phenomena. As a physician, I worked with many patients who’d had near-death encounters. These so-called Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) have placed me in a unique position to question prevailing paradigms about consciousness and death.
My role as the personal neurologist to CIA Director William Casey (during the Reagan administration) offered a rare glimpse into classified realms, shaping my perspective in unforeseen ways. This fusion of experiences, culminated in a pattern of evidence—a tapestry woven from biochemical intricacies, mathematical realities, neurological enigmas, and near-death exposure, revealing that your spiritual consciousness is not alone in the universe.
My synthesis of science, history, and personal encounters has led me to a profound realization. The cornerstone of classical neo-Darwinian evolution (with his emphasis on mutation and selection) may not be the sole force guiding human origin. The specificity of functional proteins, the staggering improbability of combinatorial inflation mathematics, and the sluggish pace of adaptive advantage in multi-cellular organisms suggest a different narrative. It’s a narrative in which the fingerprints of a super-intellectual influence are undeniable. It also begs the questions: Why? What is their interest? What is their purpose? Do we have an interest? In this book, I attempt to answer these most profound, of all inquiries.
In my twilight years, ensconced in a Virgin Islands beach house, I ponder the legacy I wish to leave. It is with this intention that I penned this concise yet potent volume—a book that introduces and explains my new worldview. In an age dominated by artificial intelligence, nurturing minds that question and analyze is paramount, and I invite the next generation to think critically, to explore and publish freely, uncensored.
The great Greek philosopher Socrates once said, “The true philosopher is the one who studies death and dying.” To study death and dying, one must strive to understand the true nature of consciousness. To realize its dual components. To come to grips with the soul, and thus the true nature of life.
The true philosopher must also confront purpose. To do this, one must determine life’s origin. Is life an “obligatory manifestation of matter” (as Nobel Prize-winning Belgian biochemist Christian de Duve[i] said)? Or was a super-intellect involved?
I have concluded that scientific evidence supports the latter, showing superintellectual effort.
Effort must have purpose. I believe that purpose is redemption; your redemption.
You might ask: “What is redemption? Why should I be interested in being redeemed? I don’t feel guilty.” By redemption, I mean the acceptance of your spirit into another vast dimension that, according to my Near-Death Experience patients, is “beautiful and more real beyond description.” To be redeemed is to be free from this reincarnation cycle of death and life. Free from pain, suffering, and fear. I would like to explain why this redemption is actually secular and not religious. This is not to malign religion or religious institutions, for I believe they have a purpose as well.
However, I would like to reveal the realities and qualifiers for this redemption, as I have understood them, from a perspective of science, historical records, and my Near-Death patients (a secular perspective). After all, those not religiously affiliated, also have a right to a redemption discussion and I would like to show why.
So, take a moment, expand your mind, and enjoy my latest book... Secular Redemption. (only 10 bucks) Amazon.com and Books.by .....Also on Kindle......
